- In 1990 Billy Paulson established a Community Development Organization called “Youth Development Outreach” (YDO). With a mission to train, teach and develop young people and taking a firm stand against the evils of society influencing the youth. This would be accomplished through unconditional acceptance.Over the years, the organisation has grown and developed to offer a comprehensive range of prevention and intervention services, as well as developmental programmes aimed at shaping the future of South Africa by developing new skills, knowledge and values among children, youth, and their families, to help them achieve their fullest potential in life.To achieve its mission, NYDO focuses on addressing the underlying socio-economic conditions that increase the risk factors for criminal behaviour, such as poverty, unemployment, and inadequate parenting
